My stack of cut half square triangles from last week are on their way to becoming a quilt. I decided to arrange them using my Sunshine on a Cloudy Day pattern. (Still 20% off at Quilt Womanwith promo code GIVETHANKS) The top rows are sewn together. I’m still working on the bottom half. This will get me to 60″ square, my usual size of quilt, or there abouts anyway. But I’ve got to make it bigger to fit on Josh’s bed.
I’m thinking of adding a border of five inch darker squares. A single fabric might be nice but I’m working with scraps and don’t have enough of any one so we will continue with the scrappy theme. Then I’m thinking some kind of scrappy border on the top and bottom. Maybe flying geese. Linking up with Cynthia and Beth. The winner of the Quiltmaker Magazine with Scrappy Bears is Vicki H. I like the dash of dusty turquoise with the soft brown blocks. HSTs are so versatile!
I love your quilt! It is so fun to see all the ways to use half-square triangles.
Great scrap quilt. I haven't seen this layout before and really like it!
Really love this scrappy quilt!
Ooh, love that bit of blue in your scrappy star! It's looking wonderful already!
Great layout. Hum, how many triangles do I have hanging around the studio. Must have a few some where. I'm thinking BRIGHT colors
