Recently, I showed you a stack of lovely fabric that I had fallen in love with, Lily Ashbury’s Tradewinds. Well, I’ve been busy playing with it. Making lots and lots of lovely dresden plates. It has been so fun to mix and match these prints. They make the cutest plates don’t ya think? I’ve made enough for two quilts. These I’m auditioning on the brown.
And these I’ve made into a busy little garden party.
My dear friend Vivian tested my pattern. This picture in no way does justice to her sunny rendition. I forgot my camera and our friend took this for me with her phone. I hope to meet up with Vivian again with my camera and get a better picture to show.
The pattern is available through United Notions and here. The wonderful Trade Winds fabric is available here and here.
The quilts look so different with the black background compared to the patterned backgrounds.
Both quilts are wonderful. I like the contrast between the points and the curves.
What fun! Great dresdens. I like them all.
Love your Dresden Plates! But then I love all Dresden Plate quilts. The fabric you used make yours a step above.
What fun quilts! I LOVE the garden party quilt. That just looks like it's waiting for a nice patch of grass in the park with a picnic basket. Beautiful!!
Absolutely beautiful!
