Summer draws to and end. School has started for many children. So it is with sad ado we say good bye to Scrap Happy Summer. But wait we can’t end this fun without a giveaway. I’ve gathered a bunch of scraps and will put them in a fun container and ship to one lucky winner.
To enter leave a comment. Tell me your favorite thing to do with your scraps. Good luck to all.
Wonky log cabins. Love all scraps and use them almost everyday.
I like to make string pieced Lemoyne Stars.
I would try one of those really scrapy quilts. I do not have enough scrapes yet as a beginner to make one.
So sad to see your Scrap Happy Summer come to an end. But isn't it fun to have the kids back in school. Ahh, a little uninterrupted sewing time 🙂 I like scraps for bee blocks 🙂 And I am determined to make a selvage / scrap quilt one of these days 🙂
While others are beautiful, scrap quilts are my favorite! I love the idea of using the 'leftovers' to make something wonderful. Thanks for your generosity!
Hi!
I am just starting to work on my FIRST quilt… I want to make one of those quilts that have small squares … Those look nice but also look like they take forever. But I like the little squares.
Susan
Scrappy stars, improv blocks, oh, lots of things to do eith scraps!

Scraps, I can't seem to get enough! I've made log cabins, string quilts, crazy quilt-as-you-go projects and want to make many more!! Love your Friendly Twist – so bright and cheerful!
Make charity quilts, of course!!!
Wonky log cabins, scrap stars, and you never know when that one bit will look perfect in a random block! I even use the tiniest scraps (those too small to sew) to stuff dog pillows- my pets are spoiled.
I just made my first postage stamp blocks with my scraps..it was pretty fun!

Just about anything…..LOVE scraps!
I have become a fan of Bonnie Hunter and working my way thru several of her quilt patterns. Hexies are high on my list as I always have some going.
Thanks for the chance to spread my wings with scraps in fabrics I probably would not have otherwise.
Im a quilting newbie just learned this summer so I would to do a scrap quilt!
Lately, I have been sewing mine into 6.5" blocks and I have 32 ready to go into a quilt. I need a lot more, but it will be pretty scrappy.
I'm making an Arkansas Crossing quilt now and the scraps would help tremendously.

I love playing in scraps—using them for applique and lately I've been drawn to 9-patch little quilts.
I love scraps to make stunning quilt, for applique and hexies!!
I love scrap quilts – the more different fabrics the more fun to make!
scraps! hexies! cut, cut, snip, snip … so much fun! big ones, little ones, doesn't take long before there's enough for something!
I love to sit down and just start stitching. The other night I ended up with a case for my sunglasses or my checkbook. Love it!

Little things like magnets for the fridge, tops for storagekontainers, little flowers to pin on, miniature quilts, and handapplique. I would love to be considered for the drawing. Greetings, Sylvia
I LOVE scraps! Every quilt I make is with scraps. My latest was Orca Bay…nearly finished! Thanks for the giveaway!
I LOVE scrap quilt. Each one has such unique character. I love seeing all of the fabrics and remembering where I used them initially or who gave me that scrap. My mom religiously robs my scrap basket when she comes over to sew and I love seeing where she uses each scrap. I too use Bonnie Hunter's scrap saver's system. Love how organized it makes your scraps.
Happy Quilting,
Shelia
My favorite thing to do with scraps is use them to make string quilts!
I would make a donation quilt for my quilt group to give to needy children. I have made a few log cabin blocks and love them. Would love to win!
I love scraps! The scrappier the better. I would love to win, but don't put me in your give-away. It is just too expensive to mail anything to me and I have lots already.
I love scrap quilts! and the more scraps the better!
I´m sewing two Postage Stamps Quilts. One with 2" blocks and every block is unique. The other one has 1.5" blocks and I use all the scraps I can find 🙂

I have just started saving scraps and have cut what I have into 2.5, 3.5 and 5 inch squares and strips. I don't have enough to make anything yet, but it is fun to just cut the pieces and set them in stacks with all the colors. Keeps me inspired to keep more and build a stash. I am anxious to make my first "scrap" quilt!
I am starting to accumulate a lot of scraps and was thinking of making some scrappy quilts. I'm glad I ran across this website. Your quilts are soooo beautiful and inspirational!
I love using scraps for my hexies! Love those hexies..
Thanks for the giveaway.
My favourite thing is to precut them into the sizes I regularly use. Most often when cutting for my next project I have another one planned and cut for that too.
I love Bonnie Hunter's patterns, though as a new quilter, I haven't generated enough scraps yet. I also wan to make your scrappy postage stamp star. Thanks for the chance to add to my scraps!
Oh, I love scraps! I use them to make doll quilts! Thank you for this giveaway!
My favorite thing to make with scraps is to make a comfort quilt for someone that is ill. Any pattern, Thanks
I have just bought the book Sunday Morning Quilts – so many scrap quilts. I have started my first from the book but will need as many scraps as I can get my hands on!
I incorporate them in new quilts for the something old and something new theme. Reminds me of past quilts I've made.
My 2 favorite scrap-busters: (1) cut scraps into strips, sew them together to make small quickie items such as little bags, or mug rugs. (2) Cut scraps into bricks and squares for a lap quilt similar to "Ruby, Pearl, & Opal Quilt" by Corey Yoder. Use white or cream yardage for sashing and border.
