Scrap Happy Summer Hits the Books

It’s Wednesday again and time for Scrap Happy Summer. Can you believe we are in the second week of August? Where has the summer gone? Yesterday J picked up his schedule for school and had his picture taken for the yearbook. While I got with the mothers of all the Jr. high students to figure out car pool for this year. Today we’ll be buying school supplies: pencils, notebooks, backpacks, etc…. And DD will be planning an end of summer party for her friends. So with school on my mind when I went to play with my scraps this is what I came up with. A gentle reminder to my kids to work hard and be their best. What’s come out of your scrap bag this week. Link up and show us your creation. Remember to link back to this post so others can join in the fun. Thanks!

Thanks for hosting this – I've been so much better about using my scraps as a result! The quilt I linked up to was made from a piece of Kona I had on hand (the blue) and scraps from my stash.

I agree. You keep me on track. I have been using more scraps because of you.

In a way I miss those back to school activities…kids grown and a retired teacher…so this time of the year now seems a little empty

I always loved the back to school stuff. I almost went out and bought myself a backpack the other day. I love the sign you made. Lovely letters!

I managed to double the size of my hexie quilt but also gained a few more scraps from friends abroad…

Love the Be Smart – very clever and cute! I should make some inspirational wall hangings for my kids.
