After the precision piecing with the braid it was time for a little play. I grabbed my scrap bins and with this as inspiration I began to play.
I wanted to add some quilting so I decided to try several free motion quilting designs.
Then I added a button and grabbed this little frame I found at a garage sale this last fall and put it to good use.
Pretty pleased with the results.
I’ll have my eyes peeled at thrift stores and garage sales (when it warms up or when I’m visiting my parents) in future for more cute little frames.
Linking up with Sarah to get a little Whoop Whoop!
Very cute…I had my Sweetie make me some square frames that I change out the blocks…It started with orphan blocks.
I love it in a frame. That is such a great idea. The flower is so sweet.
Very cute, Em. I just gave a bucket load of frames to the Thrift store. Wish I'd sent them to you :+)
Oooh!! I really love it. Thanks so much for sharing. Hugs
That is adorable! Love the frame too.
If we can't have the real sunshine and flowers during this bitter Winter they why not make our own! It's adorable.
Really cute! I think that sometimes just playing with fabrics and colors and scraps and quilting lines is the most fun thing !
This is adorable. I love how you combined the fun fabrics with creative quilting. It makes the perfect piece of art!
So sweet! I love your improv. play. I need to do a little quilt and put in a frame too. Why haven't I ever done that yet? lol
What a neat piece of art! The quilting is great and adds so much to the finish ~
