Sorry the blog has been put on the back burner the last few weeks. I just had to let a few things slide while I finished my CNA class. I’ve finished the classroom part and will finish up my clinicals by the end of the month. Yeah! Then I get a break until January when I will take some classes at the university so I can get admitted into the nursing program. Now that my class work is done and I’m no longer studying for tests, I’ve found a little time to sew. DD has been wanting one of these scrappy Scottie dogs since I made my first one. The first one found a home with my two year old niece. So I pulled out my 2 1/2″ square drawer and made one for her. It still needs an eye and a collar. But she stole it as soon as I had it stuffed so I have not had a chance to finish it up. I’ll be linking up with Amy’s Sew and Tell. Make sure you go visit and sew what other wonderful finishes have been made this week. She is doing an Amy Butler sew and tell next week. I’m hoping to be a part of it. I just need to quilt and bind my Amy Butler Love project. Wish me luck.
I made the Scotty Dog a while back and it turned out very cute. In fact, daughter #2 requested one for our grand daughter's room.
Best of luck with your classes.
I love this dog. I saw your first one and intended to make one for my grandson but never did. Now I really must – it would be a wonderful Christmas present. 🙂 blessings, marlene

What a fun pattern! Glad your daughter loves "him" before he is finished.
Cute dog – I love this pattern! My daughter just finished her cna and the clinical, also taking classes to get admitted into nursing school. Such hard work, especially having little ones, you have my admiration!

Bet it feels good to have a small break from the studies.
Love the patchwork dog!!!
Oh my goodness, that Scottie is adorable! I had one of these when I was a little girl (over 30 years ago) and I haven't thought of him in years, dare I say decades. You brought back loads of memories for me & a great idea for what to make for my niece who seems to be collecting stuffed animal dogs. Thanks for sharing!
what an adorable little puppy
I've always loved that little dog. So, so cute. And friend, I'm thrilled to know what you're focus is at school. I knew you were going back but I didn't know what for. This is fantastic. Thrilled for you. 🙂

Oh my goodness. I made one of these for my son when he was a toddler.(Now in his 40's!) I was thinking about it the other day while cutting 2 1/2 inch squares.
Such heart warming timeless fun!
Very cute, hope you get a nice break and time to sew again.
