Sew Along to Improve Your Piecing Skills

Looking for a way to improve your piecing skills. Want a fun seaside themed quilt to keep you warm this winter? Join me in my newest sew along and accomplish both.

When choosing fabrics for this quilt I chose a combination of Fig Tree Favorites, One Fine Day by Bonnie and Camille, and Petal Power by Me & my Sister all Moda Fabric lines. I picked a combination of navy, aqua, and cream for background along with pinks, greens, yellow and oranges for the blocks. Follow the links to get these fabrics or pull from your stash. As always the sew along quilt is scrap and stash friendly.

Each week you will receive a new block with pdf and video instructions. Along with any instructions to advance your quilt. Blocks are designed to expose you to different methods. Thus enabling you to try new things and improve your piecing skills.

In addition to the current sew along blocks you will have access to the previous sew along blocks. Plus the bonus content of smaller projects using the sew along blocks.

September Sun

The sew along is a monthly subscription. I set it up this way, so incase life got busy or the next sew along was not to your liking you could unsubscribe at any time. If you sign up before Friday you will also get access to my Blooms and Baskets quilt blocks. Looking forward to helping you improve your piecing skills. Can barely wait to see the things you’ll create.

How many weeks or months in total to complete the Smooth Sailing quilt? I love the quilt but am trying to figure out the time period or number of blocks and the total cost for the full project PDFs. Thank you!

My Sew Along is continuous. As soon as one quilt is done a new one starts. You can unsubscribe is you are not interested in the next quilt.

There are 25 blocks in the sew along. The first week you will receive fabric requirements. So the total time for this Quilt is 26 week. In addition to the blocks and quilt pattern. There are smaller bonus projects, like table runners, placemats, wall hangings, and baby/children’s quilts. Let me know if you have any questions. Hope you will join the fun

  • I can’t wait to start this one!

    Hi Emily
I registered and paid for the September Sun quilt last April. I haven’t received the link yet for the new Sewalong. Is there something special that I need to do?
    Thanks
