It’s Friday and time for Amy’s Sew and Tell.
My DD has grown and with Easter this weekend it was the perfect time to make her some new skirts. So we went shopping at JoAnn’s and she picked out some fun fabrics. I measured her waist and cut elastic so that while she was at school I could make her this little skirt.
Perfect for twirling in.
It was so cute and fun to twirl in we had to make three more.
Then to spoil all our twirling fun mother nature played an April fool’s trick on us. This was our backyard yesterday morning. Looks more like winter than spring.
Very cute skirts. We are predicted to get lots of that white stuff tonight. I've really had enough of it for this year but I guess we take what we get.
Skirts are perfect for twirling! She looks cute twirling around.
wow..pretty skirts…she looks cute twirling around :):)..reminds me my childhood…
Cute, cute skirts. Sure wish I could still wear skirts with gathers around the waist. What happened to those years?????
Snow??? It had to be an April fools joke!!
I recived the wonderful block in the mail. I think our blocks must have passed in the post. I laid them all out yesterday and they are looking fabulous together. Thank you.
Very cute skirts! Is that snow an April fool's joke? We are supposed get a record-breaking 24C (75F) today!
Perfect skirt for twirling. They all are so pretty.
We had a return of the snow Too! All these miles apart!!
Lovely to see the twirl of a skirt – adorable. My little girl makes all her own clothes now – or cleverly adapts vintage finds. Make the most of your daughterly sewing time – I so miss it and I wish I had kept all I made to turn into a quilt for Binky! This decluttering fashion has some flaws!!!
Cute skirts, but seriously I am in LOVE with your piano! I have an old upright that was my great grandpa's but sometime in the 50's the top was cut down so a mirror could be stuck up there. Yours is just perfect! But, I mean, um, your skirts are really cute. Love that pink flowered one in the back of the three.
Darling skirts Em! Pitty about your April 1st surprize… Such is what happens this time of year… Today we have rain and hail…
oh no…spring not winter!!! the skirts are really pretty. i love the action shot of her twirling!
Twirly skirts are perfect for Spring/Summer. Sorry about your snow…we're in the 80s. Very unusual.
Lovely skirts…made me think I sould make some for Andrea. Snow – I would love it…but not for long.
Keep that sewing going, Dr's orders, first I want to tell you I'm so glad your counts are up. Yea!!!
Your daughters skirts are great and I know she loves them, since she picked out the fabric.
It is going to be 84 here tomorrow, wish I could send some your way.

Pretty and perfect for twirling! Happy Easter!
Such pretty twirly skirts. I bet your daughter wants to wear them straight away despite the snow.
Adorable skirts and perfect for twirling! Nice finishes:)
Love these skirts–next Easter should be better at the end of April. Maybe she'll be taller?
twirling skirts might just be the best kind of skirts ever! And yours are so cute!
Oh, how I loved twirley skirts when I was a little girl. Thanks for the pictures and the memory!
A girl can't go wrong with a twirly skirt, or two, or three for that matter. Just beautiful.
twirly skirts! how fun! Hope the weather cooperates soon so that those skirts can be enjoyed!!
What fun!! A, not the snow, but the skirts!!!!
Blessings,
KT

The twirling skirt….wow, I always wanted one when I was your daughter's age! How great! I know she feels as beautiful as she is!
Oh so cute! I remember when my mom would make me new things and I get to show them off feeling so pretty or cute or whatever the moment called for. You're the bomb!
And you know what? I met that snow in Reno-LakeTahoe flying out and it followed me to Salt Lake. Made for some cold traveling.
