I missed Beth’s sewing museum, but wanted to share this little treasure.
My mom has been wanting to paint her featherweight for sometime. She was just having a hard time deciding on a color. She had it narrowed down to red or turquoise. She finally chose this beautiful read that she had seen on a car. And for her birthday she got it painted. Didn’t it turn out great!
You have ALL this week to link up! Love your mom's machine. Beautiful.
Sweet! Love the color. Did she have someone paint it for her? I'd never thought about repainting a vintage machine … now the thoughts are just streaming in!
Beauty!
LOVE It where did she have it painted, I may just have to do this too!
of course it will be red too!

That is gorgeous!!! Where did she have it done? I have been considering doing it with mine too.
Ohhh. Very very pretty.
Candy apple red, I love it!
Looks super and brand new. Love the colour. 🙂
Wow! Absolutely beautiful!
This is wonderful. She must be so happy.
You really have to share how she did this or had it done! My machine could use a makeover.
I'm not a red person, but this is BEAUTIFUL!!
It looks wonderful, I imagine she's very pleased with the result and I'll bet her machine gives of her best after such a beautiful makeover.

Lovely! I want my 301 painted about the same color. My husband and I were talking about it this week.
That is an awesome sewing machine, I bet it makes her happy just looking at it (and using it too of course)
I drool when I see the painted Featherweights but I don't think I would have mine painted. Maybe if I found one already painted that struck my fancy.
It is gorgeous! What a great gift idea!
Oh that is beautiful. I'm all for keeping "antiques" in their original state, BUT I don't think of my featherweight as an antique… I want it painted this color red also. 🙂 One day soon maybe.
Wow, that's spectacular! I would really love to do that to my featherweight, too – it's been so well loved that most of the gold is worn off.
Looks professionally painted.

Found your site googling scrap quilts. Love your mom's red featherweight! Love your quilts, too, but that machine is just shouting my name. I'm going to check into having that done. What type of place did you have it done at? Car body shop?
