When I first envisioned this a year and a half ago, I had no idea how much I would like it. My purpose was to get rid of some scraps. I figured it would be a good guy quilts. When I finished the topI was pretty excited, I loved how the different shades of gray played together and my boys thought it was pretty cool too.
Now that the quilting is done (just simple straight lines a 1/4″ from each seam) and my Josh sleeps with it, I love it’s simple beauty.
Linking up with Sarah to celebrate the compilation of Shades of Gray. Have a great weekend!
Great effect, love the different shades of gray. Super guys quilt. But when I think of it, could be super for us girls too.
Greetings,
Sylvia
That looks great. Wouldn't it be fun to do one in each color?
It is lovely… and great for a male. It is amazing how interesting a quilt can be made in one color scheme.
this is a lovely finish! I also like all those shades of gray…hugs, Julierose
Love your shades of gray. Very masculine.
Hi Emily – Great quilt – very modern looking. Hey, I went through your son's checkout lane at D.I. on Wednesday – did he tell you?
It's gorgeous!
Love how your wrote that 'simple beauty'. Scrap quilts don't have to involve every color in order to be fabulous.:)
I love the simplicity, yet the hues of grey also give it a complexity too!
I like Needled Mom's suggestion of making these in different colours!
I really like that quilt.
