Should My Journey Continue?

I’ve made another 15 blocks for my scrappy trip around the world.  If I were to finish it now it would measure 60″ x 72″, a good throw size.  But I’m wondering if I should go bigger.

The blocks are fun to make.  It is making a dent in my scrap bin.  The men in my life are all over 6′ tall and complain that my quilts don’t cover them like they would like.  But then again we have three trunks of quilts at my house and that’s not counting the ones on the bed.  So a throw size is nice to give as a gift. It is also very cheerful and would work well for an quilty hug for happy Chemo.  I think I’ll let it sit on the wall and rest a while before I decide if we will continue our journey.

Whatever you decide, it's lovely. I had to laugh. My son's only requirement when I make him a quilt is that "it covers him." Needless to say the quilts are always big.

I say take a trip and make it big. And then make another sofa size….but long.

I like it so much I think you should make another one and give them away.

That's a tough decision! I'm sure you will be happy either way 🙂 It's beautiful!

It's gorgeous – personally, I'd make a few more blocks to make it longer and give it to one of the fabulous men in your life!

You can never have too many quilts….. 😉

Love your trip! Mine is about the same size, but I am making it a little bigger so it will fit a single bed. They do help to control the scrap bin. I say make it longer and then make another for the couch or to give to charity.

I am working on one that I will keep at 60 x 72. I really like that size for many reasons. Yours is beautiful, now matter what you decide to do.

Happy chemo quilt would be a wonderful choice!

Looks great – I say make it longer for the men in your house and give some of the shorter ones away to make room 🙂

It is beautiful and if you already have plenty of quilts perhaps it would be a great chemo quilt and perhaps it needs a twin to go along. 😉
