MY KIDS LOVE SALSA!!!!
So I’ve been picking tomatoes and peppers from my garden Chop, chop chopping everything up. Everything that is but onions. Lucky me my neighbor was in charge of a luncheon and had a big bag of chopped onions left over. She needed a home of for them. Knew my kid loved salsa and I would be canning so called to see if I could use them. So no burning eyes and no tears over this salsa.
Then throwing it all in the pot to cook down.
Tonight I should have lots and lots of salsa that just might last until next fall.
Everyone cross your fingers.
Oh that looks sooooo yummy!
I love salsa too! My mother used to can it all the time and I've done a little but not lately. I had planned to this summer but I'm not home to do it. 🙁 blessings, marlene
Looks delicious.
I always leave the roots on onions when chopping them, no more tears and they have a handy handle!
I just got 2 more boxes of tomatoes and lots of peppers. Plus a box of peaches, so I'm nearly done with late summer harvest, but not quite. It is good for us. Hard work, though.
True to form… you used someone's scrap onions for your salsa!
That salsa looks wonderful!

That looks yummy!
I used to make fresh salsa from my garden produce… that was a long time ago now… Hope it turns out as hot as you can all handle! 😎
Oh yum! Lots of work, but well worth the tastes this winter.
