Squeezin’ It In

What happened to the lazy days of summer?  July is almost over and I’m yet to find them.  N is in driver ed and taking a photo shop class and needs rides to and from. (He gets to drive but until he gets his license he needs me in the car.) Josh got stung by a bee while riding his motorcycle home from work.  I gave him benadryl and claritin and after dinner he fell asleep.  I guess between working all day and the benadryl he was pretty wiped out.  When he woke up the next morning to go do work his one eye completely swelled shut and the other was not far behind, poor guy.  So I made an appointment with the doctor.  After some steroids and a more powerful histamine the swelling has come down a lot and he can see again.  But all this running has left little time for sewing.  I was however able to squeeze in these two 15 minute play blocks.

A good stress release after driving with a new driver and visiting the doctor.

Oh, Em…..I love that scrappy flower block!!!!!

So sorry to hear about the bee sting. Those things can be bad, but glad to hear he is doing better.

Love the blocks. My last child is taking drivers ed this week and if all goes well he should have his learners in a few weeks. Not sure if I'm strong enough to go through this again. I understand the need for stress relief, just thinking about it makes me shudder.

Sorry about the bee sting -that stinks! You will survive student driving – and you'll be so glad when he can drive on his own! And your blocks are gorgeous – I really need to give that 15 minutes play thing a try!!

I blame most of my gray hair on teaching 4 daughters to drive. I guess I should be glad we all survived! I love your play blocks!!!! I wish I felt like playing, but with the heat and humidity I don't feel like doing anything at all. sigh!

I HATE driving with a new driver – one more son to go – I hate not being in control, lol! Good luck with that! If your son gets stung again, try some meat tenderizer, make a paste with water. That usually takes the swelling down [not sure about that close to his eye though]. Your blocks are GREAT!
