It has been snowy and cloudy the last two days, while I have quilted and bond this lap size quilt. The bright colors have been a ray of sunshine through this gloom. So I think it only fitting I name it Sunshine On A Cloudy day.
I quilted the outlined of the star and then did pebble quilting around the background to make the star stand out more. I stitched in the ditch around the star block and then using 1″ tape I stitched inside the frame a couple of time. Finally, I stitched in the ditch and 1″ from each seam rays coming out from the star. Bond it all in navy and this ray of sunshine is complete.

That's a lot of half square triangles but what a effective pattern it made with the setting you used. Stunning. Love the bright colors and the quilting you chose.

These appear to be all solid colors. Sort of Amish style. Nice colors and very vibrant.

I have not really cared much for solid gray in quilts but I love this quilt. The gray makes all the bright colors more vibrant in a way that white or nearly white doesn't and I like the contrast between the gray and brights more than I would black. I am going to give gray more consideration from now on.
