When I first saw Dapper by Luke for Moda I knew it was a perfect fit for a man quilt. And since that has been a focus of mine recently. Well at least since Josh brought it to my attention that his brothers had taken all the man quilts when they moved out. And he didn’t want to snuggle under my usually bright and not so masculine quilts.
Dapper’s wovens made for a fun palette to play with. I really like the plaids and stripes and the texture of the wovens is very soft and snuggly.
While I’m not a great free motion quilter I did have fun playing with geometric shapes in the quilting.
Sarah tested the pattern for me. She did a beautiful job and I’m thankful for her help.
I’ll be linking up with her and Amanda Jean to celebrate this fine finish.
Luke does bring a new perspective to Moda. I'm constantly looking for ways to make my quilts look more boyish. I love what you've done with his fabric. will have to try it.
Lovely finish!
looks fantastic x
This is a great quilt Em! Guy or girl, it would be a bit hit. I love the black and cream plaid interspersed amongst the blocks. It plays so well with all the others!
Congratulations on this beautiful finished quilt. Wonderful pattern, love the fabrics.
Greetings,
Sylvia
I love that line too! I love how one side of some of the prints is brushed cotton. Soooo soft!
Great job on that quilt. I love all the movement the plaids create.
Wow! For not being a freemotion quilter that's some awesome quilting.
