Tuesday Tutorial~ Supernova

Every year the talented and generous, Sarah, hosts Hands to Help. Thanks to her and the many generous quilts that read her blog, I am able to make it through the year giving Quilty Hugs. In case you are new to my blog Quilty Hugs are quilts donated to cancer patients through  the Rack Pack and Hope Lodge. There is no way I could meet the demand without all this generosity. In addition to providing me with quilts, Sarah also gives prizes and has tutorials with quilt ideas to make.

She picks a theme for these each year. She as done nine patches and 16 patches. This year she is doing stars. Supernova shown here is her latest. It is made with half square triangles. You can find the tutorial here.

While you are there pick up the button for her fun quilt along.

And I almost forgot our family has a new bar in the shower. This actually happened on Friday, I just forgot to take a picture. Didn’t want you to think my soap lasts forever, though it does last for quite a while. We are now enjoying a bar of Detox. When I made this bar I thought it was a fail. The sweet anise was the only scent I could smell. Not until I took it in the shower did the sweet orange and lavender come through. I can’t tell you how great it smells and how excited I was that it wasn’t a fail and licorice was the only scent coming through.

You can get your own bar of Detox or one of my many other skin loving soaps here.
