Tuesday Tutorial

I sent my DD off to girls camp yesterday. Sadly this year I’m not going. I do however get to do a day camp with the girls ages 8-11. I’m in charge of the crafts. How fun is that? I chose sun printing on bandanas. I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing so I made one in advance.

It made me a little nervous when the tutorial said to cover the entire bandana in dye. And more than thrilled when it worked. Here is my finished bandana.

Here is the video tutorial I watched to learn how to do this.

In addition to making fun bandanas you can do it on fabric. I would suggest fat quarters of untreated cotton fabric. It was very easy and I love the results. The hardest part was waiting for the fabric to dry.

That looks great! The girls are going to love this. Heck, I want to play and my camp days were long ago. Hope it all goes off without a hiccup.

That turned out really beautifully. I haven't made any sun prints, but I may have to fix that!
