I’ve got binding on the brain right now. So I was thrilled when I came across Karen’s tutorial on Mitered and Flanged binding. It immediately went on my bucket list. My mind is mulling over quilt ideas that would be perfect for this finishing touch.
Karen graciously allowed me a few pictures to share with you. I love all the information she shares in each photo for her tutorial. They make the whole process so easy to understand.
If like me your dying to try this method. You’ll find the tutorial here. In addition to a flanged binding try a scrappy binding or maybe a little big stitch. Tutorials can be found on this post.
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I would love to try the flanged, but I think this will help me greatly with my mitered corners.
I love the idea of another binding technique but my virus scan won't let me into that website. bummer.
This really makes such a nice finish on a quilt.
Many thanks for sharing the tutorial Emily… I love finishing my quilts this way. It's sweet of you to share it with others.
Thanks for the link – it's always nice to find a way to vary things.
Awesome binding technique! Thanks so much for sharing the link! And yes, I want to try it soon (like this weekend)!!!! 🙂
