Tying the Knot and a Winner

After being romanced into working on this project again.  I’m happy to announce we are tying the knot.  All blocks are done and sewn into a top.  I’m thinking of a piano key border to finish it off.

Here is the quilt by my Great Grandma Ida made that inspired.  I can’t wait to show my grandma my rendition.

Now for what many of you have been waiting for; a winner in last weeks giveaway.  The random number generator selected #33.  Julie of Better Than I Deserve is our lucky winner.  If you will please send me your snail mail I will mail the newest issue of McCall’s Quilting to you.  Congrats!  Hope you enjoy it.

They look so different. Both versions are wonderful. I can't wait to hear what your grandmother thinks about your rendition of the quilt.

I love this!!!! Both quilts are equally beautiful, and I cannot wait to see yours when you get it completely finished!!!! I'm working on cutting out a Double Wedding Ring right now. I'm coming to the end of the cutting. My wonderful husband is going to finish the cutting for me while I start sewing. LOL…nothing like a handy helpful husband!!!!

What a great inspiration for generations to come. How fabric and the way we combine colours changes, but the passion stays the same. I can see that in both quilts. Love them.
    Greetings,
