What’s in a name?

I feel in love with this little quilt when I saw it last year. I knew I would make one like it one day. Em’s scrap bag needed a bunch of scrap baskets. Don’t you think? So with the above quilt as inspiration. I set to work. I feel in love with Barbara Jones of Quilt Soup new fabric line. I thought it would make for some fun scrap baskets. Here is my rendition. I’m planning on binding it in orange. What do you think?

I am looking for a fun name for my quilt. If you have a catchy one I’d love to hear it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

Em

I am not the best at catchy names but I bet one of our fellow bloggers can come up with name. Love the quilt! It is so bright and cheery! Your binding choice will add to it.

I thought of Spring when looking at your quilt and since today is the first day of May, I think you should name it May Day.

  • Kim says:

This is very nice, especially like the border that you designed for it. A Happy May Day quilt! I like the May Day name, too.

Wow! Love it. Orange is one of my favorite colors, too!!! The song with the refrain: “Good Day SunShine” comes to mind. If it were a quilt here in florida I’d call it something related to Orange Juice or the Sunshine.

Love both versions and when I see your baskets, they remind me of all the goodies you find at a farmer’s market in the summer. What about Summer Pickin’s.
