Sorry to be a little late with this weeks Wild Goose Chase block. It’s been a little crazy around here. Wrapping the school year up with DD and N, getting ready to paint and lay carpet downstairs, and making a quilt for Julie’s new line for market on top of all the other crazy that already happens at this house. So without further ado here is this weeks block.
You will need 1- 6 1/2″ geese block (use 1- 6 1/2″ by 12 1/2″ rectangle for goose and 2- 6 1/2″ squares for sky if not using rulers and 1- quarter square from a 6 1/2″ strip for goose and 2- half squares from a 6 1/2″ strip if using rulers. Follow directions for making geese here.
You will also need
2- 3 1/2″ geese
2- 2 1/2″ geese
2- 1 1/2″ geese
8- 2 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ rectangles of sky fabric
Sew your 2- 3 1/2″ geese together as shown.
Sew a 2 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ rectangle to either side of the 2 1/2″ geese as shown.
Sew the remaining 2 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ rectangles to either side of the 1 1/2″ geese as shown.
Sew your 2 1/2″ geese together
Sew these on top of your 3 1/2″ geese.
Sew your 1 1/2″ geese together and sew these on top of your other geese.
Sew these to the side of your 6 1/2″ geese block.
And there you have it another Wild Goose chase block.
Fantastic block!
Another beautiful block! I'm a bit behind. Still have blocks 9 to do. Today things were too crazy around here. I'll work on these blocks this weekend.
