I barely finished quilting my Yarn Bomb Trees before I left for Bryce. I trimmed the batting and and backing just before Ruth and I left.
I didn’t have time to cut a binding. In fact I took a gamble that I would be able to find a binding at the retreat. And as luck would have it I found the perfect binding. I cut it the first night we were there and got it sewn on one way.
I spent my free time at the retreat binding it. I wanted to be able to photograph it in beautiful Bryce.
Happy day I finished it and we received a light dusting of snow to add to the red rock beauty. Love how it looks in this awesome scenery. Linking up with Sarah, Cynthia, and Amanda Jean to celebrate.
Great finish. The 2 blues were a perfect choice on the sashing. Yarn bomb blocks are on "to do" list.
Well done! It is terrific.
Your quilt is lovely! Clever design too. Your retreat sounds like such a great time.

Oh, it is so much fun! Love it, made me smile!
such a great quilt!!
This is such a brilliant project. I have a friend who is crazy about both knitting and quilting. She has to see this.
Just saw this on your blog–so gorgeous–love that light blue tone–sets it all off perfectly–and those three dark squares are just right to move your eyes around…nice work! hugs, Julierose
Gorgeous!!!
Bright and beautiful. Love the name!
That's really a beautiful quilt and a great way to use up scraps!
Those blocks are so fun, and I love the way you put them together in the wonky setting! A beautiful finish!
Lovely quilt! I really like your layout colors and how you've twisted your squares. Just wonderful!
I love those two colors of background. Great idea for those tiny scraps. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
What a very creative design. Well done on a lovely finish.
They really do look like yarn bomb trees. What fun! And how cools it that you got to take such great pictures of it.
A lovely quilt! We have trees in the village that have been yarn bombed, just like in your quilt!
Amazing finish! I love the trees and the way you set them – congrats!
Your trees are so bright against all those kinds of "weather", fascinating.
Congratulations on a great finish. It looks like a perfect retreat quilt, and it does look great against the snow.
