Scrappy Stars and Wonky Roses at Bryce Winter Retreat

Tomorrow, after my Quilty Hug sew in, Ruth and I are heading to Bryce for our annual winter retreat.  I’ll be teaching scrappy stars and wonky roses.

In my Braveheart class the students will have the choice between making a quilt or a table runner.  My pattern comes with instructions for both. I recently made a video on how to make the flying geese part of these stars, just in case you are interested in making a few flying geese.

I love teaching my Wonky Rose Garden.  This free form quilt is a fun make.  Each rose turns out different.  Once you wrap your head around the improv piecing you’ll be making a whole rose garden.  I love how the scrappiness of this quilt gives it an impressionist art look.
