Learn Scrap Quilting with Aunt Em

While chatting with members inside Aunt Em’s Sew Along Adventure the question was brought up of where I would be teaching live.  I’m grateful for technology that allows me to teach quilters all over the world.  While virtual learning is great.  It lacks the connection and personal feel of teaching live.  So today’s post I’ll be letting you know where you can learn scrap quilting with me live and in person.

Live Retreats

The first week in February I’ll be heading to beautiful Bryce Canyon for Quilty Friends Winter Retreat.  I love Bryce in the winter.  The hoodoos look like cupcakes with icing.  I’ll be teaching Shooting Stars and Wishes.  In addition I’ll be bringing my scraps and machine so I can enjoy time in the open sew.  I’d love to have you join me for one or the other.  Or if you like both.

In May I’m sailing to Mexico and Honduras on a cruise through Stitchin’ Heaven.   In addition to teaching Shooting Stars.  I’ll be presenting a trunk show full of inspiring scrappy eye candy.Colorful and bright shooting star scrap quilt.

The second weekend in June I’ll be at the Historic Quilt Walk retreat in Panguitch, Utah.  I love the hometown feel of this quilt retreat.  In fact this is where I made my teaching debut years ago.  Join me and learn my simple trick to make the stunning Gradation quilt.  It may look like you Have to insanely pieced thousands of tiny pieces.  But this trick makes it quick and easy.

Then in November I’m heading to Missouri to teach a week long retreat at Hamilton Retreats.  I’ll be sharing how to use your scraps to create a Jumbo Scrappy Star.  Discover how value and color work as well as scale and repetition of design for a cohesive, eye pleasing quilt. You’ll learn how to make and use basic quilt units to create your own unique design.
