Summer is upon us here in the USA.  Time for parades, picnics, family reunions and BBQs.  Add a some shine to these occasions with a little sewing.  Today I feature quilting with stars and strips.  Enjoy a parade of scrap friendly projects that feature sparking stars and scrappy strips.

Star Quilts

First up, Shooting Stars table runner. Star table runner in patriotic colors

This is one of my new Quick Win projects based off the quilt blocks in my Summer Nights Sampler.  These projects were designed to help beginning quilters develop and learn with small bite size projects over the course of a year.  Giving them confidence to create a whole quilt. If you like the runner you’ll love the Shooting Stars quilt.  I recently taught this on a cruise through Stitchin’ Heaven.  I loved seeing everyone’s blocks shine in their newly made quilt tops. Two quilters holding their star quilts
