I’m always looking for fun and creative ways to use my fabric scraps. Today I thought I’d share 5 ways I’ve found to use fabric strips too skinny to sew with. So don’t throw out those fabric strings put them to use, here’s how.
One of my favorite ways to use up skinny fabric strips is as a tie on a gift bag. I simply fill a bag with treats or one of my homemade soap bars. Then tie the bag with a colorful fabric string.
I also like to wrap gifts with brown paper. I use old paper bags or Amazon bags. Then tie a longer fabric string around the gift. I find these gift cute and earth friendly. 
Another way I enjoy using my skinny fabric strips is to make fabric twine for my Quick Win Drawstring Bags. It’s easy to do, and adds a fun, scrappy touch to the bag.

The final way I like to use my thin fabric strips is to weave them into placemats. Someday I’d like to try my had at weaving them into a bag. I’ll let you know when I do, and share it here.
