Table Topper Ideas
First up the Quick Win Table Topper, takes any 6 1/2″ quilt block and adds sashing for a 13″ table topper. Its so quick and easy. I made this simple one using a red Christmas print and green sashing, while fussy cutting the center. Then simply enveloped it. I had it done in a few hours.
For Thanksgiving I appliqued the dogwood petals from the Blooms and Baskets sampler quilt in fall colors. I enjoyed the handwork in the evenings while watching shows with my husband. After making the four blocks dove into my stash to find the perfect sashing and binding. It took longer, but I love the effect.
My friend used the same block but switched up the fabrics. I love how sweet and friendly it looks.
Finally the classic quarter log cabin from the Summer Nights sampler is sewn up in bold, bright colors for a modern look perfect for ringing in the new year.
Table Runner Ideas
Next up are the many ways to use the Quick Win Table runner. This versatile pattern takes any three 12″ blocks for a 16″ x 42″ table runner. You can simply choose a favorite large print fabric with your chosen holiday theme to quickly give your table that special touch. Or go scrappy like I did with these crazy quilt blocks.
