Patchwork Letters from Crumb Fabric

Still have lots going on in the sewing room.  It’s good thing as it’s keeping me from missing my girl too much.  I mentioned to my hubby I needed more design wall space for all my projects.  I’m currently working on Moda Bake Shops Quilt Along,  100 blocks, and patchwork letters from crumb fabric.

I have added to my Moda Bake Shop QAL.  I’m almost ready to start assembling this quilt.  It may have to go out on the family room floor.

The design wall is full with this project.  I pulled all my red, pink and yellow scraps from my bits bin and made crumb fabric from them.  Learn how I sort my fabric here.

Next I took that fabric made letters and added my scrappy Dresdens from last week.  Now to figure out how to put this all together.  I’ll be using it as a sample for my upcoming Spells class for the Utah Quilt Guild’s annual meeting.  Their theme this year is ‘Sew Bewitching.’

Also taking up a big chunk of the design wall are my growing number of Fusion blocks for the 100 blocks in 100 days.  The more I get done the more I like this quilt.

What fun projects are you moving forward?  Are the summer months keeping you too busy to sew or like me do you have so many projects they can barely be contained in your sewing area?  Share on the Facebook page.
