I feel so blessed to be among a community of givers. Quilters know how to pick up the pieces and make things better. They give to those facing challenges of all kinds; natural disasters, illness, and heartache. Today I’m joining Moda and AccuQuilt to participate in Covering the World One Quilt at a Time. The designers at Moda and AccuQuilt have joined together to give a quilt to a charity once a week for all of 2022. This is my week.
I’ve created a couple of quilts to share with Huntsmen Cancer Institute and Primary Children’s Hospital. Adding these quilts to the many donated through Hands to Help this year for Quilty Hugs.
First a child sized, Sunshine on a Cloudy Day. Cutting it out with my AccuQuilt made this quilt supper fast and easy. Just a little FYI I’ve updated my pattern to include multiple sizes, as well as AccQuilt cutting instructions for all sizes. So if you feel so inclined you can dive into your scraps and make this quick, eye catching quilt.
Next I added a dotty binding to the disappearing four patch rainbow quilt. I posted progress of this quilt recently on one of my Move it Forward Posts. Make sure to join us each Monday to share how you are moving your quilts forward. We want to cheer you on.
