How to Make a Pretty Little Posy Blocks

Spring is in the air. The days are getting warmer. Though being the fickle girl she is, there are still an occasional snow storm. Hopefully we have seen the last of those. And sunny warm days are what is in order. With those warmer days a few pretty posy blocks are in order.

I used this simple sew and flip flower in my Blooms and Baskets quilt. It was the first sampler quilt in Aunt Em’s Sew along. My sew along is a great way to try lots of different quilting methods. You will learn applique, strip piecing, and a little free form improv. Each week a new block is introduced. Along with instructions to progress your quilt. Instructions come in both written PDF format and video tutorial.

It’s never to late to join. All patterns and videos for the current quilt are available once you join. Plus once you’ve been a member for six months you gain access to all the archives. That means every block, quilt and all the bonus content from all previous sew alongs are at your finger tips.

Use this video tutorial to create the posy blocks. If you like what you see. And would like more. Then be sure to join the sew along.

Just a little FYI, it’s my birthday tomorrow. To celebrate I’m having my annual birthday sale in my Etsy shop. Starting today through the weekend all patterns are on sale. Stock up and save. But don’t wait. Monday will be here before we know it.
