It’s been hard for me not to share the next sampler quilt in my build your quilting skills sew along. I had so much fun designing and combining blocks to include in this winter themed quilt. There have been a few sneak peeks. I just couldn’t contain the joy I was experiencing.
So you have seen the first block. A few of the wonky blocks. I do love me a little wonk.
There had been requests for a winter quilt in the sew along. Since we were heading into winter I thought it was the perfect time to fulfill that request. Because I like to sew on bright happy fabrics in the winter. It helps to add life to the winter blues. I designed this quilt to have a whimsical feel, combining colorful fabrics with a gray background.
You will find friendly elves, colorful trees and snowflakes. There are a variety of methods. Giving you a chance to try new techniques and improve in many skills. I hope it gives you a taste without overwhelming you with any one method. As you create your own sampler quilt.
