I flew to Huston with my friend, Lori for International Quilt Market 2025. While I’ve attended market before, this was my first time having a booth. I was a little nervous, but thanks to Lori and her good eye the booth came together and looked great. If I do say so myself.
The great thing about market is the people you meet and reconnect with. I had a delightful time catching up with Erica from AccuQuilt. Being able to show her how my new book, Scrap Quilts, gives the option to use the AccuQuilt system. Then seeing her excitement and joy at the results was awesome!
One of our booth neighbors was Kimberbell. She and her team were so kind and helpful. Their expertise helped to make my first time go smoothly.
Another booth neighbor was EE Schenck. Nancy reached out to me right away to give me the details for my book signing in their booth. Let your local quilt shop know they can get my books and patterns from them. This will enable more quilters to find and enjoy more scrap happy fun.
Moda Fabrics celebrated 50 years at market. Visiting their booth was a joy! Lissa is always welcoming and kind.
Sheri was been a friend for years. I took one of my first quilt classes from her.
Having ZenChic visit my booth was a highlight. Watching her play I spy to find her fabrics in my quilts brought me joy.
Meeting Tori from Stitchin’ Heaven in person made me happy. I’m thrilled she will be having me teach on more cruises.
So as you can see International Quilt Market was a great place to meet and reconnect with fellow quilters.
