Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Here are a few fun sewing ideas to celebrate the day.
These cute little shamrock blocks are quick and easy. They make a cute little wall hanging. Or a sweet little pincushion. Add them to a mug rug. Combine nine for a table topper. The possibilities are endless. A great way to use up little green fabric scraps. I don’t know about you buy my green scrap bin is always overflowing. Whip up a bunch with this tutorial.

Inspired by the scrappy string heart from Jacquie. I thought it would be fun to create a shamrock. So I pulled out my green scrap bin. It always seems to be full. Used my AccuQuilt Go and strip dies to make a bunch of strips. Next I sewed up a bunch of strip sets. Then using the sew and flip method (learn tips to ensure success this this method) I rounded the shamrock leaves. Finally I inserted a scrappy strip for the stem. I’ve made a tutorial. Just in case you would like to make one of your own.
