During one of my scrap sorting quests I pulled a bunch of blue and green scraps. I used the Go Cutter to cut them into 5″ and 2 1/2″ squares. I found a fun nautical themed background with anchors, stars, and navy badges. I combined these with my Treasures pattern.
Ruthie took it over from there. She made all the squares, added the sashing and borders, then quilted it with star fish, sand dollars,
kelp, and sea horses.
Then I trimmed it up and got it bond. Now this Treasure at Sea is ready to comfort and warm as a Quilty Hug.
Finally the winner of last weeks giveaway is Jan of From the Button Box. Congratulations!!! If you will send me your snail mail. I’ll get your magazine off to you.
What a great way to use up charms (and I have lots of them)! I just downloaded the pattern and it looks to be very clear. I'm looking forward to starting this one.
That quilt is beautiful!!!
