The first step is to get some order to the chaos. Afterall it’s hard to use what you don’t know you have. I use this method. Bonnie Hunter also has a method that works for many people. I don’t like to cut. So her method doesn’t work for me. The important thing is to find a method that works for you. Otherwise you won’t stick with it. And you’ll end up back at chaos.
Once you know what you have. Then you can look for ideas on how to use it. If scrappy strips and strings fill your bins. Try these ideas. 
Whereas if your bins are mostly fat quarters with chunks cut out. You’ll love these ideas. 
Or if you have a lot of tiny crumbs. These ideas will help.
