Create More in the New Year

Happy New Year!  I hope the holidays found you abundantly blessed.  Personally my cup is overflowing.  I have so much I need to give back.  So I’m excited to create more for you this next year.  Look forward to creative and fun ways to use your scraps.  I’ve got tutorials and workshops planned.  Look forward to a giant surprise this fall.  But for now let me share my newest quilt, Sew Abundant.

Let’s start with the center block, a colorful improve tree with applique birds on a dark gray background.  My favorite background for scrappy bright fabric.

Next I surrounded this joyful block with some of my favorite classic quilt block patterns. Which I followed with sewing baskets of all sizes and shapes.  An abundant quilter needs abundant storage.  A row of colorful spools of thread were added to keep this year in stitches.  A button or two for luck. Plus a few thimble blocks to keep fingers protected.  Finally framing the corners with stars and Dresden style blocks, because who doesn’t love stars and Dresdens?

Who’s ready for the big reveal?

Yea!  I’m happy you’re ready.  I had so much fun creating this for you.
