Recap 2018 and First Finish 2019

2018 was a great year.  My quilting angels, the wonderful women who join me each month to create Quilty Hugs, made several great quilts.  Each of these quilts is given to a cancer patient to bring comfort and love during their battle.  It was fun to look back and remember who worked on each quilt and what they did.

In addition to the Quilty Hugs I had a lot of fun creating new patterns.  I was a little amazed to see all that came out of my little head.  The creative process is my favorite part in all this.  Taking an idea altering it, making it my own now that is fun.  Kind of like a mixtape for quilting.  I enjoy sharing them with others through magazines, classes and my shop.  I love when someone takes one of my patterns and makes a mixtape of their own.

I try to have a few free tutorials each year. Mostly I gave a lot of tips and trick on working with scraps.  In addition I had these three scrap friendly, I hope you found them helpful.

I hope to have more tutorials this year as well as a sew along.  I’m very excited!

2019 is off to a good start.  Crazy Love being the first of what I hope will be many finishes.  I’m looking forward to teaching it in February at a local quilt shop.

If you would like me to come and teach any of my quilts or scrappy methods to your guild or quilt shop contact me. I’d love to meet you in person and get to know you better as well as your quilting friends.  Best wishes for this new year.  I hope you find many hours creating while you check off a few of your bucket list quilts.
