Yesterday we had a wonderful Quilty Hug sew in. We enjoyed a little sew in success. Marilyn made these little beauties left over from this quilt using Jen Kingwell’s Beach Road. They will eventually become 16 patches that we will put with an alternate block.
Ruth put these blocks together from the units she had made last time. I’m really excited to see how this quilt comes together.
I finished making these blocks. The triangles in the shoo fly blocks are leftovers from my Portals quilt. They should make a great masculine quilt.
Finally Shelly sewed 2 1/2″ strips together that Sue cut and pressed into these units.
We are planning on making this quilt with them. I’m always on the look out for scrap busting blocks try these 6 simple and easy blocks.
After our sew in success Ruth and I went in search of snow. And we found it. Yeah! I was finally able to christen my snowshoes in this.
It made for a beautiful hike.
