Happy Halloween! I thought it would be fun to share a few Halloween quilt blocks for you to make.
When I think Halloween I think pumpkins. Here are a couple of simple friendly pumpkin blocks to try. Use them for a mini, mug rug, or whip up a bunch for a table runner or quilt. First a simple snowball styled pumpkin. Next make it scrappy with a nine patch pumpkin. Get real scrappy with a happy jack. Just one of the options in my Scrap Busting Design class.
Halloween also makes me think of spiders and spiderwebs. While I’ve not made a Halloween themed spiderweb quilt. I’ve seen them made. Use my tutorial to create one of your own. You can find fun Halloween fabric at the Fat Quarter Shop. It may even be on sale.
I have a Pinterest board for Holiday sewing. I recently found this pin with 31 spooky Halloween quilt blocks to make. There are skulls, tombstones, ghosts, spiders and more.
In addition to these spooky blocks you may also enjoy my post on 15 fall projects. A few of those would be perfect for Halloween. Hope these spooky blocks have got your creative juices flowing. Enjoy this festive day with no tricks and lots of treats!
