Fall is in the air. I’m enjoying the cool mornings as I go for my walk. The cute little pumpkin patch I pass each morning is beginning to be sprinkled with large orange pumpkins. After all fall does equal pumpkins, right? Everything pumpkin spice is showing up; cookies, pie, muffins, bread, air fresheners. All this pumpkin has inspired me to share an easy, fall pumpkin block with you.
You will need for your pumpkin block 1- 5 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ rectangle for the pumpkin, 1- 1 1/2″ square for the stem, 2- 1 1/2″ x 3″ background strips, and 4- 2″ background squares.
This block is similar to one I included in my September Sun Quilt. This fall themed quilt has a small pumpkin batch along the bottom. Made up of several scrappy pumpkins. It is part of my Sew Along series. To get the pattern just join the sew along fun. There are always two quilt patterns available. Right now it includes Blooms and Baskets in addition to September Sun. Plus lots of bonus content in the form of smaller projects; runners, baby quilts, wall hangings, etc.
Are you ready to learn how to make this simple, easy pumpkin block? Great! Here is the video tutorial.
