Do you remember that pretty jelly roll and Bella solids from last week? Here they are now
My favorite method for turning strips into half square triangles is my Nifty Notions ruler. I love that I can cut squares and triangles from the same strip and eliminate waste. Plus I get pieces that fit together perfectly and sew up oh so nice. I have a tutorial here if your interested.
In addition to sewing up pretty little pinwheels I made a bunch of soap. Here are my freshly poured Blemish Buster and Oatmeal Honey.
I had to wait over night to find out how my swirl in the Blemish Buster turned out. I’m pretty happy with the result.
Now it’s your turn. What have you moved forward this week? Link up and share your progress.
Great blocks!!! I have one of those rulers too and love it!
Nice progress with all those pinwheels. Thanks for sharing the ruler — I'd never heard of it before. Soap looks great.
I love your pinwheels, and I, too, love my Nifty Notions specialty rulers! I bought the whole set of them when my local Bernina dealer had Kay England in to teach a class on how to use them. And now I can make just about any block out there, no pattern necessary… Best purchase ever!
The pinwheels look great and that soap sounds amazing. Especially that oatmeal honey bar! Katie@hobbiesuptohere.com
The pinwheels are gorgeous. I really like the way the swirl turned out on the soap bar.
I love your hand made soap! It might be too beautiful to use, though.
The soap making looks like fun and they look so pretty too! I love the pinwills!
Love the method you use for your hst's. It looks so accurate!
