It’s no secret I love scrap quilts. All that color and oh the memories those little bits of fabric hold. And if you’ve quilted for very long you probably have a scrap bin. Well I thought it would be fun today to share a few scrap busting ideas.
This first one is for all those strips and strings. You can find the tutorial here.
This postage stamp star block takes the tiniest of pieces. I have made this into a quilt at least once, but can’t seem to find a picture. The tutorial can be found here.
This x &+ block is pre-cut friendly so if you have parts of charms, jellyrolls and layer cakes. Try this tutorial.
It makes a beautiful quilt.
Finally these scrappy star blocks in multiple sizes can be mixed and matched.
Hope this gives you some ideas on scrap busting. If you make a quilt let me know I’d love to see your scrappy creation.
You are the scrap master! Thanks.
I love that little postage stamp star–teeney tiny–and I have your "scrappy x & +" in my binder waiting to go…thanks Hugs, Julierose

These are some great ideas for using those small pieces we all keep!
Beautiful ideas! I love the scrappy stars, I've been accumulating a pile of 'bonus triangles' I need to sew together. These would be perfect!
Also, I saw your quilt 'Jacks' in my new issue of McCall's Quilting! I love our pattern. Congrats!
Oops..I meant 'your' pattern!
Scrappy quilts are my favorite!
Wonderful scrappy quilts, the chevron is all time favourite.
Great idea to gather all these scrappy ideas in one place.
