It’s been a little while since I did a find the good post. But with yesterday being the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 I wanted to remember some of the good that came from that tragedy.
Those that turned on evil forces to save others and ultimately gave there lives in doing so. Those that rushed into burning building with only the thought of helping those in need. Those that gave blood and prayed for the victims and their loved ones. I remember the comfort that came to me in the days following this atrocity when I saw America pull together and help each other. To know that although there are very evil men in the world as a race there is still a lot of good. I don’t know if you know it or not but yesterday millions gathered to do good deeds. Some believe it was the biggest day of charitable acts in America’s history. Once again it does my heart good to see the good in mankind. And gives me hope that one day we will all learn to live in peace.
great thoughts emily
I remember that too – I pray those lessons last.
In the Little House on the Prairie books there is a scene where a lot of hard things have happened, and one good thing. Pa says, "There is no great loss without some small gain." Words of wisdom to live by. Thank you for a thoughtful post.
Nicely said, Em.
