A Port in Any Storm

This quilt came about because I leftover triangles from my Portals quilt. They were two different sizes. So I ended up with two different size blocks. A thin sashing on two sides fixed that problem.

I added a thicker sashing between the rows so that it made a more manly size quilt. With 6′ plus size boys this is important. Otherwise they complaint that it doesn’t cover their toes. And if it covers their toes it doesn’t come up high enough on their chest.

I’ve decided to call it Any Port in a Storm.  Because of the nautical theme fabric and the leftover orphans finding a home. Linking up with Sarah, Cynthia and Amanda Jean to celebrate this manly finish.
