I’m thrilled with how my Beaded Curtain quilt turned out. Thank you Elaine for the name idea. I love the bright strips against the earthy brown.
Thankful for my friend Lori’s suggestion to quilt it with beads. To connect them I added a swish to give them a yin and yang feel.
This picture makes me think of walking through a beaded curtain into a free spirited world.
This quilt will go to a free spirit. I recently found out that the lady, over the farmer’s market, where I sell my soap, is battling cancer.
She is such a kind, generous, helpful lady. I hope it will cheer her and bring courage for the battle.

This is Sujata Shaw's latest pattern "Paper Beads", right ???
The shapes remind me of Latin American percussion instruments. Many years ago when I was in HS band (back with the dinosaurs) we had ones we shook similar to maracas, but shaped and painted like your "beads". You grasped them in the middle and shook them similar to making a martini!
