Blooms and Baskets Sew Along

Blooms & Baskets Sew Along

Did you know that each week in my Em’s Scrappy Bits and Tips I share a free pattern? I just finished my HST series. This Friday will start my Blooms and Baskets Sew along.

If you missed any of my HST series you can find the patterns here. For each block there are instructions and a quilt option. This is the sampler quilt that finished the series.

How it works

With Baskets and Blooms you will receive instructions for a new block each week. It’s a great way to learn and improve your skills. This series will run for nine months. So it is totally manageable. You will have a whole week to finish your block before you have to, make that get to make another block. A few of the blocks are duplicate. So you will need to make a few more that week. All of these are simple and will come together quickly. The finished quilt will measure 60″ x 72.

Fabric Requirements

The featured quilt combines fat quarters from the lines Homestead and Figs and Shirting. It is also very scrap friendly. So if you’re looking to bust some scraps. This quilt is perfect. You will need 3 yards of background fabric if you choose to use the same background through out. But you know me. Why use one fabric when you can use more? For this example you can just use 1/2 yard and fat quarters cuts. Contact me if you have any questions.
