I know many of you have been waiting for this. I’m pretty excited myself. I’m looking forward to creating and can’t wait to see what you come up with.
I have 10 sacks available. So like I said first come first serve. Because of postage I will be limiting it to US only, sorry about that.
I will send out the sacks this week and you will have until the fourth of April to create. On the fourth we will have a linky party and everyone can share what they have created. We will let our readers vote for a week after the linky party. At which time I have a fat eighth bundle of 30’s prints that I will send to the winner.
So if you are up for the challenge leave a comment. I’ll email you for your snail mail, so make sure you are not set on no reply or I won’t be able to contact you. If this happens I will have to chose another participant. Grab the challenge button located on my side bar and post it on your blog. Good luck everyone. I’m so happy these sacks will be put to better use than sitting on my self. I’m hoping to get a few ideas for the ones I have left.
Good morning, Em! Is this challenge open to everyone? That little town in Colorado is very near to where I grew up. I have an idea that would make a fun, fun, fun little quilt!
I LOVE feedsacks and also working with them! Is your challenge going to be just making a quilt with feedsacks by April 4th? That seems possible! This should be fun! June in NC
Count me in!
I'm up for the challenge! I didn't realize when you first posted this that the mill was in Cortez! Have been through there a number of times on our way out or home from camping vacations. We're south of there in central NM.
I'd love to give it a try too.
I would love to try this.
What a great challenge. I'd love to play but I live in Toronto. Looking forward to the creativity.
Hi Em. I'm up for the challenge. Hugs
I am anxious to see what is created from these sacks. My daddy loved blue birds, and every time I see one I know it's him letting me know he's OK and watching over me.
Hi – If I am not too late I would like to give it try. Thanks! Toni
Hi. I stumbled across a post about Blue Bird Flour Sacks on another blog with a link to your blog about this challenge. I have a whole stack of these that my mother gave to me in hopes I come up with a quilt design. I grew up in a household that used Blue Bird. I have so many other projects lined up already, so the bags sit in the corner of my room, waiting.
I just thought it was awesome that you were having a challenge using these flour sacks.
