Create Scrappy Strings Block with this Tutorial

I’m always looking for fun ways to use up my scraps. My scrappy strings seam to multiply faster than bunnies. So finding another way to use them is always on my radar. I’m not a big fan of foundation piecing. I hate to rip the paper off. This is the main reason I don’t paper piece.

But string blocks are just so darn cute. If I make them I often use light weight muslin. Or I’ve use dryer sheets. I have also made string blocks using the Essential Triangle or similar ruler. With this method there is no added bulk to your project and no paper to rip off. The draw back is you need to be careful of the bias seams. But I’ll take being careful over ripping paper any day.
