Every other year we have our DeRyke family reunion. My children look forward to it and wish it happened every year. I made this quilt after seeing a book by Mary Lou Weidman. (Who by the way I will be taking a class from this fall. I can’t tell you how excited I am for that.) If you’ve read my blog for very long you will recognize this quilt.
It captures my children’s favorite memories of that particular reunion.
My crazy aunts and uncles, their children, grandchildren, and even a few great grandchildren will all attend.
I can’t wait to see my sisters; Lori, from California and Julie, from Texas and their families.
My boys can’t wait to go out in the boat with Uncle Jon and Uncle David. So grateful for my family and this great opportunity to see everyone again.
Time for you to make another quilt! I do remember when you made this and I thought it was such a good idea.
Is DeRyke a Dutch name? Have a happy reunion.
Fun quilt, Em. Have a great family reunion.
It's a story quilt…and a fun story!
Thanks for the smile on my face, and for sharing the fun quilt.
Hugs
