Generous Quilters

I’ve been doing a lot of secret sewing this week. So I have noting of my own to show. Fortunately for me quilters are generous. My mailbox has been full to overflowing with quilts from Sarah’s H2H for Quilty Hugs.

I once heard Jenny, from Missouri Star, say quilting is the one hobby you start for yourself and soon becomes about everyone else. We love to make. There is no way we can keep them all. So we generously give.

In addition to my mailbox being full. I was able to meet Cathy. She is a local quilter and asked if I could meet her to drop off her quilts. Well, of course! We met at the library and she had 6 bright, happy, quilts.  See what I mean about generous quilters.

All these quilts will be delivered next week to the Huntsmen Cancer Institute and Primary Children’s Hospital. I’ve got to clear of the guest bed before my father inlaw comes to visit. Thank you everyone for your generosity. These quilts bring so much comfort.

Wonderful quilts! I haven't ever heard the saying about quilting becoming for everyone else, but that's right on the money! I'm going to remember that…probavly share it with my quilting friends, too…

It was so sweet to meet you, Emily! And I’m glad that the quilts that were too small for Quilty Hugs will go to my other favorite charity, Primary Children’s Hospital. Thanks for all you do!

Hey, I know that Cathy! At least I "know" her online thru her blog 🙂 How great that you got to meet in person, and that you're getting so many lovely quilts for Happy Chemo. Hooray for quilters!
